Odessa & Fern Lakes via Fern Lake Trail (B)

This hike is 9.6 miles roundtrip with 1978 feet of elevation gain. The Fern Lake trail was damaged by the fire two years ago and the Ranger cabin by the lake burned to the ground, but the lake is still beautiful. We will stop briefly at Fern and proceed up to Odessa Lake where there are outstanding views of the surrounding mountains - 12,324’ Flattop, 12,129’ Notchtop, 11,586’ Little Matterhorn and 12,331’ Knobtop.
