Arthur’s Rock (A)

Arthur’s rock is rated as an A hike located in Lory state park. We will begin the hike through grassy meadows, ascending through the forest and winding up switch-backs, onto large boulders which will require a scramble to the top. Spectacular views are seen of Horsetooth Reservoir and the northern range. To add mileage to this hike, we will return by Howard’s Trail, the elevation gain is 1100 feet and the highest point is 6800 feet. Out and back is approximately 4.1miles.
