Bear Lake to Fern Lake (B)

Class B Hike; 10 miles; point-to-point snowshoe hike. Departing from Bear Lake Trailhead with a 3.2-mile hike to Lake Helene, with 1,200 feet elevation gain. From Lake Helene we descend to Lake Odessa and then down the drainage to Fern Lake. From Fern Lake we take the Summer Trail to the Fern Lake Trailhead. The total distance from Lake Helene to the Fern Lake Trailhead is 6.8 miles, with a descent of 2,400 feet.
