Joe Mills Mountain (B)

Class B Snowshoe hike; 6-mile round trip with 1,600 feet elevation gain. From the Bear Lake Trailhead, we will follow the Flattop Trail for 1 mile to the junction with the Fern - Odessa Trail. Following the Fern - Odessa Trail, we will take a North turn 1 mile East of Lake Helene and climb Joe Mills Mountain. The climb to Joe Mills Mountain is strenuous and will be off-trail, which will require us to break trail. From the top of Joe Mills, the views are amazing, with a panorama from Flattop to Fern Lake.
