Frequently Asked Questions


Guests are welcome to join us for a hike or a meeting. 


However, we'd really like you to join the club.

If you have some questions, many of the answers are here.

Q: How do I find out about hikes and other club activities
A:
1) here on the website accessed in your home or at the Public Library
     2) your member Newsletter that is emailed to you once a month
     3) by picking up a Newsletter at the monthly meeting
     4) announcements and articles in the Loveland Reporter-Herald and Ft. Collins Coloradoan

Q: What does it cost to join? 
A: $15 individual or $21 family (see the application)

Q: How do I go on a hike? 
A: Call the hike leader listed on the schedule a few days before the hike and meet at the location indicated on the schedule.  Check the hiking instructions for more info.

Q: I am not a strong hiker.  Can I go and will you wait for me? 
A: Check the schedule and classifications of the hikes to find one that you feel comfortable about.  The hike leader will discuss your specific situation when you call.

Q: What should I take with me on a hike?
A: See the recommended equipment lists.

Q: I'd like to talk with somebody about the club.  Who should I contact?
A: See the people on the contacts page.
