Mills Lake

LMC Calendar

Class A 5.3 mile hike at a casual pace, starting from Glacier Gorge with an elevation gain of 780 feet. Considered to be one of the prettiest lakes in RMNP. Longs, Peak, Pagoda Mountain and Chiefs Head Peak provide an impressive backdrop to this beautiful lake. The lake is named after Enos Mills, the man commonly referred to as the "father of Rocky Mountain National Park". Mills became the area's first naturalist, and made great contributions to the field that would eventually lead to the profession of interpretive park rangers. This hike will be limited to 8 hikers.
